Chris Knox and John Collins
Chris and John built up Beacon House Wealth Management over 30 odd years, and got to know their clients very well. It took them a while to find suitable advisers to take over their business, allowing them both to retire in the knowledge that their clients would be in safe hands with Baker Davies. It was agreed that Chris and John continue to be involved in the business in Ambassadorial roles.
Chris Knox - Retired Adviser - Beacon House
Chris was previously an Adviser and owner of Beacon House Investments, which is now incorporated into Baker Davies. Chris has now retired from being a Financial Adviser and continues in an ambassadorial role in the business, to assist the new advisers in taking over and looking after his clients.
Chris may share some of the personal history of his clients with their new adviser (Amanda, Simon, Tony, or Pete) to help them build a deeper understanding of client's needs and preferences. Chris sometimes attends handover meetings with the new advisers and attends investment seminars.
Never one to sit still, Chris enjoys many pursuits and interests. He is a very keen sailor and helps sail the tall ship 'Tenacious' which gives disabled individuals the chance to go to sea. He rides his horse in the New Forest, is a very keen historian and may go on to do a degree in history at Southampton University.
John Collins - Retired Adviser - Beacon House

What's it like working with Baker Davies?
It was important to Chris my business partner and I that we find a safe place to pass our clients to, a firm who share our principles not only from a business point of view but also the same desire to offer a personal, helpful, service second to none. We believe that in Peter and Tony we found the right two people and their whole new team continues to offer the same high quality. We also felt that Sarah deserved continuity of employment after working for us for very many years and this was also offered by the new owners."
John pops in to the Poole office regularly and the rest of the time he enjoys being a Granddad and spending more time with his growing family.
