Emma McMahon

Emma heads up the research and report writing. She uses various software packages to analyse products available, fund performance and markets and works closely with the advisers to design and present the best solutions for our clients.

"I love a challenge and with markets, products and legislation constantly changing, it keeps me on my toes."

Emma graduated from the University of Ulster in Northern Ireland with a BA Hons degree in Business Studies and Computing and chose to focus her career in finance. Her first job was in banking, which led on to a career in the IFA field. When her fiancé, now husband was promoted to Dorset she re-located too.

What made you want to work for Baker Davies?
"What struck me straight away was the focus on the client which is very important to me. Also the company has a nice friendly atmosphere and I get to concentrate on what I enjoy most which is technical research and identifying bespoke solutions for clients."

Hobbies and Interests
Emma loves travelling and seeing different parts of the world. She also enjoys attending corporate events. "Over the last year I have been busy studying towards the Diploma in Financial Planning, which thankfully is now complete. Now that I've got some more time to myself, I will be spending a lot of it enjoying married life and planning new activities."
